Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Bear Flat Artists Open Studios will be bigger and better than ever this year. Held over the late May Bank Holiday, Bear Flat was the first area in Bath to have Open Studios. From tentative beginnings in 2003 the event has gone from strength to strength.
Bear Flat Open Studios
Saturday 25th - Monday 27th May 2013
With over 30 exhibitors at more than 20 different venues in and around Bear Flat, visitors will be able meet the artists while exploring a wide range of work. As well as visiting old favourites there will be the opportunity to discover new talents and to buy paintings, prints, ceramics, textiles, jewellery and photography. Both local pubs – The Bear and the Devonshire Arms will be hosting artists and craft makers over the Bank Holiday - for more information go to Other Events
The children's art workshop will again be running in Devonshire Place, and refreshments will be available at a number of venues.
Directions to Bear Flat
Bear Flat is situated south west of Bath City Centre, A 20 minute walk from the train and bus station, or the number 13 and 14 buses stop in Wellsway. Bear Flat Artists welcome you once more to their annual Open Studio Art Trail. All the venues are within easy walking distance of each other. As most are in private houses, they may involve uneven surfaces, staircases or steps and some may not be suitable for wheelchair or disabled access.
