Retention of personal data

Personal sales contact data for originals works will be retained indefinitely for legitimate interests as continued evidence of authenticity and to support the artist's copyright in all works unless otherwise agreed in writing;
Apart for the above, personal data required for the fulfilment of services or products supplied or received will be retained in line with applicable legislation, currently six years after the end of the year in which the contract was completed;
Personal data used to respond to enquiries will be retained for one year after resolution;
Personal information used to fulfil requests for marketing information will be held for five years after which further consent will be sought or the information deleted, subject to your rights to unsubscribe and have your personal data deleted at any time on request.
Personal information in the form of photographs used for the purpose of completing a painting or commission will be retained for a year after the end of the year in which the work was completed. Sketches and other preliminary work used for this purpose are the property of the artist unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Your rights
The GDPR enshrines new rights for you regarding your personal data. In particular:
You have a right request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
If any data we hold on you is incorrect please notify us and we will update our records;
If we hold personal data for marketing purposes only, where you have previously given your consent, you can always opt out at any time and ask for your personal data to be deleted;
We will not pass any personal data on to third parties other than those who either process information on our behalf or because of a legal requirement and only after, where possible, ensuring the data is processed in accordance with the GDPR.
